Jonathan Marsico is a painter, who was born in 1971, in Denver, Colorado, where he actually lives and works. Over the course of his career as a painter, which is almost 3 decades long, Marsico has tried different mediums. He has realized that acrylic painting is what he likes the most and continued to create his paintings with this medium.

Marsico is classified as one of the most iconic artists of the color painting field. His amazing acrylic paintings, which take us out of our comfort zone represent a fusion of his talent, technique, and training. Marsico’s art creates contradictory sensations in those who contemplate it, that combine admiration for an extraordinary talent and constant questioning of the reality of the human being.

This talented painter started painting at an early age. He created his first artworks at the age of 5.

He continued to paint while in high school. However, in a time where art was increasingly abstract, changing, and conceptual, he had to face the criticism of his teachers and to defend the modernity of his paintings. Marsico has always defended the modernity of his artworks.

After finishing high school, decided to study law. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the Sturm College of Law of University of Denver. Soon he realized that this profession does not fulfill him.

Two years after graduating in law, Marsico enrolled at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. He graduated with magna cum laude honors and received a Bachelor in Fine Arts (BFA) degree.

Jonathan Marsico has presented his paintings across the USA and Europe on exhibitions at some of the most famous galleries.
