Acrylics are made from pigments bonded with water-soluble
synthetic resins. The paint resulting from this mixture is therefore soluble in
water. Its drying is fast. Acrylics are often incorrectly called any paint in
which the pigment is integrated into any synthetic resin, be it acrylic or, on
the contrary, polyvinyl acetate. In the latter case, we should call them vinyl.
